Gog galaxy is still 'optional' but you cant use any no mans sky online features (uploading any discoveries which is the only point in playing it) or unlock achievements. Surely im overreacting & software that controls your rights and access to features of your purchased digital software content can be considered drm free right.Įdit: I need to know before i buy this on GOG i want to play with bro and cant if steam family sharing counts as same person online, cant afford 2 copies, and for those who dont know i got NMS on GOG and yes you have to enter a literal serial into GoG galaxy to activate your online and achievment features which GoG galaxy warned at the time >can only be used once and on one pc<.Įdit 2: Devs responded in a GoG/steam crossplay thread confirming it will use GoG galaxy in the GoG version, which pretty much answers only one person will be able to use GoG version online TLDR ill have to buy multiple copies to play with family so ill have to wait for this to be <10$ unfortunately. Will this game use GoG galaxy (yes gog has their uhh 'drm free' drm?) which is flat out worse than steam (uses 4x as much resources and is virtually useless)? I know No mans sky and a few new games use it and it claims its 'drm free' yet is a software that blocks access to certain features of games without a serial key (multiplayer/achievements).
